To Infinity and Beyond! Galaxy Tee Tutorial.

I First saw the Galaxy Tee on Pintrest and pinned at least 2 or 3 before deciding on a tutorial I liked. I semi-followed fashionlushxx's tutorial. and it turned out pretty nice. I had my little cousin over for the weekend and he seemed to have a fun time making his own galaxy. On that note this craft is good for older kids I'd say 12 and up otherwise you may end up with a bit more mess than you'd like. Ok time to gather your supplies and make your very own galaxy.

The Supplies:

  • a spray bottle
  • straight bleach
  • regular acrylic/fabric paint (I used dark blue, light blue, red, shamrock green, and white)
  • a toothbrush (4pk @ the dollar tree)
  • sponge (again 8 pk @ the dollar tree)
  • 1 black tee
  • latex gloves (optional for when spraying bleach)

The How To:

BLEACHING

  1. First put a piece of cardboard inside your shirt so that it doesn't bleed through to the back side.
  2. Then put your bleach in your spray bottle (do not dilute the bleach).
  3. Have at it.
This is one of those projects that you really can't mess up on. spray as much or as little as you like the results will be fairly instant

PAINTING

  1. Place paints in paper plate all except your white.
  2.  Take your sponge and dab as much paint as you like to form your galaxy (I started with the light blue, then the dark, then red, then green)
  3. Then the messy part. Take your toothbrush and apply the white paint as if toothpaste then proceed to flick it all across your shirt. (this creates your stars)

FINISHING TOUCHES

Let dry overnight and rinse the next day. Your short will be ready to wear. Enjoy.

First post, First post!!! na na na na na na!!!!!!!

Yay!!!!!! First official post!!!!!! Seeing as how it is my first and at this point maybe, maybe two people read this, both of them being my parents (Hi, mom. Hi, dad.) I say a little introduction is in order. My name is Meagan, I'm 23, and I love to craft. I run my own crafting business from home and it is one of my greater joys in life. I love crafting but many times my A.D.D. brain kicks my rear and keeping up with and or organizing things is not in my strong suits. So as much for me to keep myself in line as well as clear some of my ideas and pins (I'm such a pinning addict) along with help other crafters on their way to crafting bliss I started this blog. I will post tutorials at least once every other week if not more often. I hope you guys enjoy the tutorials and that they are useful. Enjoy!!!!!
